Running from 3,032 to 3,456 meters above the Grande Motte glacier, the new Tignes cable car belongs to a new generation of gondola. Its two cabins with roof terrace will offer passengers a unique 360 degree view of one of the most beautiful panoramas of the French Alps, with views of Mont Blanc, the Cime de Bellecôte, and l’Aiguille de la Grande Sassière.

Design in Switzerland by Garaventa AG, the new cable car will be open to skiers from the beginning of the 2018/19 winter season, but the roof terrace will be off limits until the summer. The 'Altitude Experience,' reportedly worth €17 million, will open to the public in May 2019 and will take passengers from the Tignes funicular station at 2100 meters to the Grande Motte glacier, before undertaking the experience of a lifetime atop the viewing platform on this remarkable new lift.
